YOU FORGOT IT IN PEOPLE, (WOKE ILLUMINATI)

I am now making my way through musician Jay Bennett’s catalog. This song is on a solo album called “The Beloved Enemy.” I’m not sure of the name of the accompanying female vocalist on this track.

My first recollection of Jay– he was the great “enemy” role in the making of Wilco’s album and documentary film of the same name “I Am Trying To Break Your Heart.”

I just watched the new Aziz Ansari, Netflix comedy special, and the performance is book-ended by a Lou Reed/Velvet Underground song “Pale Blue Eyes” which sounds a lot like Jay Bennett’s material and I’m guessing Lou Reed was a strong influence.

Jay died ten years ago with a labeled “accidental” death classification from a Fentanyl Patch. Tragically Tom Petty, of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers fame, and also pioneering solo name artist Prince, who later changed his name to a symbol, both perished in the same fashion from a “Deragesic Opioid Patch” (fentanyl).

I don’t understand how these patches can be prescribed outside of a hospital setting. Or are these deaths instances of “celebrity” special treatment which the “patients” would have been better sans? Understandably these guys were experiencing real corporal pain after decades of grueling worldwide touring. And Prince of course always wore these ridiculously high heel boots that had to be an arch support nightmare.

But I think the research supports that a modest Yoga practice together with Assisted Stretch Therapy (an emerging form of physical therapy) offer relief with a lot safer methodology than opioids.

This above tune is my favorite song on this J. Bennett album titled “If I Forgot How To Land.”
